Forced damped oscillator

Learning objectives

  • To illustrate the phenomenon of resonance.

This animation is similar to the one called "Forced oscillations #1" but, here, you are not allowed to modify the parameters. You can  distinguish sharp resonance (Damping ratio = 0.04 or Q=12.5) from smooth resonance (Damping ratio = 0.2 or Q = 2.5).
The oscillator has a frequency of 1 Hz.
