Cardioid

Learning objectives

  • To define a cardioid as the trace of a point on a circle that rolls without slipping around a fixed circle of the same size.

The curve followed by a point of a circle rolling without sliding on another circle with the same radius is a cardioid. You can also select other radii for the inner circle.
